The Region
Cooma truly has the best of every world - country, city, coast, metropolis, snowfields - all within a day trip
of the town. The region surrounding Cooma is full of great places to visit, all within a short distance - little
hamlets nestled into the mountains, small towns each with their own drawing points, local icons, cafes and
restaurants, the large ski resorts that are so busy in winter and so serene and beautiful in summer, lake
Jindabyne and Lake Eucumbene - the list goes on.
South Coast NSW
The amazing South Coast of NSW is a just over an hours drive, with its sparkling beaches, fishing,
surfing, and world-class golf courses.
Tathra - 1 hour 20 minutes
Merimbula / Pambula - 1 hour 25 minutes
Bega - 1 hour 15 minutes
Eden - 1 hour 40 minutes
Narooma - 1 hour 55 minutes
Canberra
An hour north puts you in Canberra for all the shopping or city life that
you could want, with parliament house and the Australian War memorial a must see.
Ski Resorts
The town of Jindabyne at 40 minutes, and the ski resorts just past it, is irresistable for a great place to visit
summer or winter. Enjoy the water skiiing, trout fishing, and mountain hiking in summer, and then, of course,
skiing and snowboarding in winter.
